The brief
An advertising association was turning 25 and needed a private site where a jury could review the selected ideas and vote in two rounds.
What I built
I designed and built it: a WordPress theme with jury login, case lists, voting tables, two rounds with results, vote history and an admin view. Votes go into their own database tables.
Features
- Jury login
- Case list and finalists
- Two voting rounds with results
- Vote history and admin view
- Votes in custom database tables
Challenges
Problem. Votes had to hold up if anyone questioned them, across two rounds.
Solution. Separate vote tables with a history for every juror and an admin results view.
Takeaway
Small, private and over in a month, but the results were public, so it couldn't fail.
